Lab Calendar for 2025

Here is the long-awaited Lab Calendar for 2025. Below you will see Coaching Trainings, Coaching Refreshers, and the Quality Convening in November.

A few things to note:

• We tried to take into consideration your schedules and requests. If something doesn’t work, you may always ask for a change. It’s possible we can move it.

• This year we moved Coaching Trainings later to avoid over-enrolling in April.

• Refreshers are fewer this year, but they’re also very easy to offer, so if you decide you want one, reach out. We would want at least 4 people on it.

• The November Program Quality Convening is later this year. The earlier date conflicted with some other conferences and was preferred. This date is contingent on finding a location to host.

This year we are tweaking the training ever so slightly to focus on the skills of coaching with the Domains of Thriving. We will talk about the report less. The report is a barrier to people doing or wanting to do coaching observations, and we don’t believe they’re being used much. It is ultimately up to Schools to decide if they would like to use that tool. This means that the Coaching Training might be as relevant for lead instructors as much as course directors or program managers. So the doors are open a little wider. People can learn skills and apply them instead of learning to do a formal observation.

Once we have the names and emails, we will send out calendar invites starting in February. Then a week out from the training, we send reminder emails and pre-work on Thinkific. This work could be done within two hours prior to the Coaching Training or Refresher.
